We advised A.P. Moller - Maersk on a disinvestment

On Monday 20. March 2023 A.P. Møller – Maersk announced its agreement to divest Maersk Supply Service (MSS), a leading provider of global offshore marine services and project solutions for the energy sector, to A.P. Moller Holding, the parent company of the A.P. Moller Group.

 

In 2016, A.P. Moller – Maersk adopted its new strategy around integrated logistics and a separation of the existing energy related activities was initiated. Maersk Tankers, Maersk Oil & Gas and Maersk Drilling were divested in the period 2017-2019.

Today with the proposed sale of Maersk Supply Service the final divestment of the energy related activities will be completed.

Gorrissen Federspiel advised A.P. Moller – Maersk in connection with the transaction. The core team from Gorrissen Federspiel consisted inter alia of Charlotte Thorsen (Corporate), Andreas Hertel (corporate), Niclas Holst Sonne (tax), Kenneth Kvistgaard-Aaholm (IP), Søren Høgh Thomsen (IP), Helle Mollerup (Corporate), Anna Claudius Stadil (Corporate), Simon Nordvig (Corporate) and Emil Clement (Corporate)
