Emil Clement

Professional profile

Emil Clement advises clients on financial regulation and trading documentation, with a particular focus on OTC and exchange-traded derivatives and securities financing transactions. This includes drafting and negotiating ISDAs, CSAs, GMRAs, GMSLAs and other similar master agreements, as well as ETD and OTC clearing agreements. He also advises on the regulatory treatment of derivatives and securities financing transactions, including clearing obligations and margin requirements, and more broadly on how financial regulation (e.g. EMIR, MiFID II) affects trading and other business activities. Separately, Emil advises participants in the European wholesale energy markets on their obligations under REMIT, covering both physical transactions and energy derivatives.

In addition, Emil acts for issuers and underwriters across a wide range of debt capital markets matters, from standalone bond issuances to EMTN programme updates and drawdowns, regulatory capital instruments and green bonds, advising on documentation, negotiation and transaction management.
