Gorrissen Federspiel’s Finance practice group covers all aspects of banking and finance law. Financing

We assist Danish and foreign financial institutions and companies in connection with financing documentation and all related aspects.

We specialise in all types of financing transactions, including

  • financing of corporate transactions/acquisition financing;
  • project financing and leasing of, i.a., real estate, aircraft, vessels and other assets; and
  • financing of operations.

Debt issuance

We advise both financial and non-financial companies on all aspects of debt issuance.

We have a market-leading position in establishing, maintaining and issuing debt instruments under EMTN programmes, stand-alone bonds and corporate bonds.

Financial regulation

We have a dedicated team to assist with a wide range of financial regulatory matters. Our group provides specialist financial regulatory advice, including in respect of the following areas of expertise:

  • all regulatory issues related to licensing requirements, conducting financial business, marketing of financial products as well as governance, good practice, change of ownership, etc.;
  • sustainable finance and disclosure requirements;
  • investment services and activities;
  • collective investment schemes, including alternative investment fund managers, investment management companies, investment associations and depositary issues;
  • measures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • insurance mediation;
  • payment services and electronic money;
  • derivatives trading, including negotiating framework agreements and preparing opinions in relation to clearing, netting and financial collateral;
  • own funds; and
  • conducting business via branch or cross-border operations, including marketing and cross-border authorisation.

We have extensive experience in establishing, acquiring, merging and dissolving financial companies and branches of foreign financial institutions. Furthermore, we have extensive experience representing Danish and foreign clients before Danish supervisory authorities, especially the Danish FSA.
