Obton A/S and the investors in the three solar funds, Stabil, Impact and Fond 1, managed by Obton Forvaltning A/S, have resolved to join forces in the newly established Renewable Energy Company A/S through a number of mergers between the funds and contributions from Obton to function as an integrated energy company going forward.
It has been a pleasure to assist the teams at Obton A/S and FSN Capital Partners on a transaction of this unique character and complexity, where Gorrissen Federspiel’s capabilities and specialist competencies in multiple practice areas across the firm have been involved and cooperated in structuring and executing the transaction.
We wish all the best for the team that has been set to lead and operate Renewable Energy Company with a global operational portfolio of up to 1,160 MW of solar PV plants and a global development portfolio of up to approx. 4,398 MW primarily solar projects as well as hybrid plants and battery projects.
The core team was led by partners Chantal P. Patel Simonsen, Jacob Gunst, Morten Nybom Bethe and Niels Bang, with key support from counsels and senior associates Bjørn Jurjans Moosgaard, Christian Refslund, Hans Nikolaj Amsinck Boie, Marcus S. Vallentin Rosenstock and Tim Johan Christensen as well as junior associates Jacob Aakjær Jensen, Mathilde Elkær Sø and Oskar Sølver.
We also thank the splendid cooperation with all other advisers involved in the transaction in navigating the various parties to this result.
