HomeGorrissen Federspiel advises Connected Infrastructure Capital

An important step for the green transition in Denmark

11 November 2025

We are delighted to have been involved in advising on the purchase and partial sale of a new 100 MWh stand-alone battery energy storage system (BESS).

Connected Infrastructure Capital (CIC) acquired the project SPV and subsequently divested a 25% stake to Twig Energy. This strategic partnership brings together CIC’s extensive expertise in energy infrastructure development and investment with Twig Energy’s proven capabilities as an energy trader and technical operator.

The BESS facility will provide grid flexibility to accommodate variable renewable generation, support the integration of wind and solar power and contribute to increased stability at a time when energy systems are becoming increasingly complex. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The Gorrissen Federspiel team that assisted Connected Infrastructure Capital consisted of Christian Halskov Sauer, Christoffer Fode, Hans Nikolaj Amsinck Boie, Søren Nielsen, Magnus Søndergaard-Pedersen og Christian Skaarup Nissen.
