We are attorneys for Blue Denmark and our expertise on maritime law dates back to the 1890s.
We have close contacts to the companies, organisations and public authorities, which render Denmark a leading seafaring nation. The group’s close contact with the industry renders it possible to provide advice based on knowledge and understanding of the market development and the needs of the individual client.
We find it very important that the members of our group have an international background and that the group has international contacts. All members of the group have studied at foreign universities, such as Oslo University’s Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and Southampton University’s Institute of Maritime Law and/or have worked for foreign law firms in for instance Oslo, London, New York and Hong Kong.
We have personal contacts to lawyers in leading law firms in all the significant seafaring nations. We invest time and resources in maintaining and developing these contacts, e.g. through development programmes with maritime law offices in London and New York.
A number of the partners in our group and in Gorrissen Federspiel are on the boards of directors of shipping companies and hold positions of trust in international associations, including CMI and European Maritime Lawyers’ Organisation.
