Gorrissen Federspiel has assisted Sydbank in its merger with Arbejdernes Landsbank and Vestjysk Bank.
The merger is the first between three financial institutions since the creation of Danske Bank in 1990 and has a market value of DKK 45.6 billion.
The merged bank – Denmark’s fifth largest – will have 4,200 employees and loans of DKK 137 billion. The bank will thus be on a par with Jyske Bank in terms of size.
Gorrissen Federspiel has acted as advisor to the continuing institution in this year’s three bank mergers. We have thus maintained our strong position in the sector.
