Gorrissen Federspiel has had the pleasure of advising Niteos GmbH in connection with the acquisition of a new 24.9 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Northern Jutland.
The investment, made in partnership with Twig Energy, is an important contribution to the flexibility of the Danish electricity system. By storing power when production from wind and solar is high and releasing it when demand is greatest, the facility supports the integration of variable renewable energy.
At Gorrissen Federspiel, we are currently experiencing a significant increase in interest in BESS projects – both as stand-alone facilities and as co-located solutions at existing energy plants.
