Peter Sand specialises primarily in advising clients in the shipping and aviation industry, but he also has extensive experience in advising clients in the defence and security industry. In addition, Peter advises on insolvency and restructuring matters, assisting clients with distressed debt.
Peter's advice within the shipping and aviation sectors covers, among other things, matters relating to tort and insurance law, private international law, company law, contractual, financial and regulatory issues, as well as litigation and arbitration cases relating to the aviation sector. Peter also has extensive experience with purchase, sale, leasing and maintenance of aircraft, aircraft engines and other aircraft parts. Furthermore, Peter assists with aircraft and ship financing as well as in traditional financing transactions, where he advises on and drafts loan and security documents.
Within the defence and security industry, Peter advises on contracts for the defence and emergency sector, including framework agreements and supplier agreements, search and rescue arrangements, evacuation agreements and operations agreements. In this connection, Peter also handles a wide range of regulatory, financial and structural matters
