PRESS RELEASE
Gorrissen Federspiel has achieved ISO 27001 certification – the international standard for information security management. This is an important step in the firm’s strategic work to deliver the highest possible quality, including in terms of compliance and information security.
ISO 27001 is a globally recognised standard that helps organisations identify and manage security risks. The standard is based on a systematic, risk-based approach to protecting information, and it sets high standards for company processes and technological solutions.
“ISO 27001 certification proves that we meet the highest international standards and have the right processes and controls in place,” says Managing Partner Martin André Dittmer.
This certification is the result of several years of structured, strategic work to establish and embed an Information Security Management System (ISMS) throughout the organisation. This involved developing and implementing policies, conducting risk assessments and establishing security measures across offices and business areas.
“We operate in an industry where trust is a fundamental requirement. Our clients rely on us to protect their data. ISO 27001 certification sends a clear signal that we take this responsibility seriously, and that our security level has been tested and documented by an independent body,” says Martin André Dittmer, and he adds:
“The certification marks the beginning of a new phase in which we must continuously strengthen our security and develop our compliance efforts. We view this as a strategic investment in our market position and in building trust with our clients every day.”
Partner Tue Goldschmieding, who has extensive experience in advising companies on IT-related issues, adds:
“ISO 27001 places high demands on both technology and processes. The certification proves that we have established a robust, documented security architecture that enables us to identify, assess and manage information security risks effectively across the entire organisation.”
Tue Goldschmieding advises Danish and international clients on outsourcing, IT contracts and personal data protection and has extensive experience with complex IT transactions and the regulatory and security aspects of data protection.
Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ISO 27001 defines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS). Its purpose is to protect information, both internally and externally, by identifying and managing relevant risks.
