A former GF member is now returning “home” as Thomas Maaberg Hansen joins the circle of partners at Gorrissen Federspiel on 1 January 2022. He has a long-standing Tier 1 position in Banking and Finance, and comes from a position as Partner at Plesner, where he has been head of the Banking and Finance department for more than four years.

Thomas Maaberg Hansen joins Gorrissen Federspiel with a long background in advising financial institutions, corporates and private equity funds and has extensive experience in complex financing transactions in particular. He advises Danish and international corporates, financial institutions and investors in connection with loan and capital market transactions.

“It has been exciting and challenging to build the Plesner finance team, together with others, to the position it has reached, and I would not have been without that journey. But now I am looking forward to a new journey with Gorrissen Federspiel, which has one of the best finance teams in the industry,” says Thomas Maaberg Hansen.

Managing Partner of Gorrissen Federspiel, Martin André Dittmer, is pleased that the practice group will now be further strengthened.

“We are very pleased to welcome Thomas back. Thomas brings a wealth of experience and a very strong profile in finance. This strengthens and consolidates our position as by far the strongest finance team in the industry,” says Managing Partner Martin André Dittmer.

Thomas Maaberg Hansen began his career in 1994 as a law student at the law firm Løber & Lauritsen in Aarhus, which later became Gorrissen Federspiel. He continued as assistant attorney and then as attorney in the Dagmarhus office in Copenhagen, before going abroad to join the international law firm Norton Rose Fulbright. In 2004, he returned to Denmark as an attorney at Plesner, where he later made partner in 2007.
