Gorrissen Federspiel advises Nammo on establishment of ammunition production facility in Denmark.
The Gorrissen Federspiel Defence & Security team has assisted Nammo AS in negotiating and concludingan operator and framework agreement with the Danish Ministry of Defence’s Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) (Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse (FMI)) for the establishment of an ammunition production facility in Denmark.
As a supplier of specialised ammunition with factories in the US and Europe, including Norway, Sweden and Finland, Nammo AS will re-establish the production of ammunition and grenades at the ’Krudten’ ammunition factory in Elling, North Jutland, Denmark. This agreement marks a milestone as it is the first agreement of its kind to bring military ammunition production back to Denmark, thereby strengthening Denmark’s and the Nordic region’s security of supply and resilience.
