NKT signs 10-year PPA with Uniper for solar park in Germany.
The leading Denmark-based manufacturer of power cables and a major player in the energy sector, NKT, has entered into a 10-year corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) for a solar park in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, which is under development by the major German energy company, Uniper.
The project will be constructed at a former ash landfill of a coal-fired power plant, brilliantly illustrating the green transition.
The PPA will be a large contributor of renewable energy to and decarbonization of NKT’s German production sites. NKT will purchase 100% of the power and associated guarantees of origin produced by the 17.2 MWp solar farm.
