Development A-Z | Real Estate | Grid connection
The first masterclass of the Project Development Masterclass will offer deep insights into project development within the renewable energy sector. We will walk through the critical steps from concept to execution of renewable energy projects, with a focus on relevant real estate factors related to developing, operating, and acquiring renewable energy facilities in Denmark. We’ll also explore the processes, requirements, risks, and emerging trends in connecting renewable energy facilities to the electricity or gas grid. Additionally, we’ll address the legal and technical challenges specific to these projects and provide a legal update on current energy regulations.
The masterclass will in addition offer an opportunity to network with industry professionals, exchange experiences, and build valuable connections.

This session serves as an introduction to the seminar series, giving participants a thorough overview of project development as a discipline. We will guide you through the chronological steps involved in project execution, sharing practical “how-to” strategies and best practices that are essential for successful project management.

Real Estate
This session will focus on key real estate topics related to developing, operating, and acquiring renewable energy facilities in Denmark. We will delve into securing and registering real estate rights, including planning and securing cable rights. Additionally, we will discuss restrictions on land lease terms and share practical experiences. We will also highlight essential aspects of conducting due diligence on renewable energy projects from a real estate perspective.

Grid connection and alternatives.
This session is focusing on the process, requirements, risks and trends for connecting renewable facilities to the electricity grid (with full or limited grid access) or the gas grid – both from a legal and technical perspective. We will address matters such as (i) the content of a grid connection agreement, (ii) technical requirements, including the three permits EON, ION, and FON, as well as (iii) tariffs and fees. Furthermore, alternatives such as a direct line will be dealt with.
