Erik Molin advises companies on economic analysis in complex competition law matters, including merger control. He also advises about disputes and valuation. He combines experience from regulatory work with hands-on advisory experience in some of Denmark's largest and most complex cases.
Erik Molin is Head of EU and Competition Law and leads the Economic Analysis unit at Gorrissen Federspiel. He works at the intersection of law and economics and assists companies with advanced analytical work, including in competition law and financial matters.
Erik Molin has extensive experience advising on the economic aspects of merger control, including under the EU Merger Regulation and the Danish Competition Act (Sections 12–12h). He has been involved in several of the largest and most complex Danish mergers and regularly advises companies on competition economics issues across all core areas of competition law, including horizontal and vertical agreements and abuse of dominance.
With six years of experience from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, Erik Molin has gained in-depth insight into the authorities' approach to economic analysis and market assessments.
Erik Molin also advises on economic aspects of civil litigation, including the preparation of economic arguments, development of counterfactual scenarios, and quantification of damages.
Within financial advisory, Erik Molin works with valuation, including in connection with management incentive programmes (MIP), business valuations, financial analyses, and cost studies.
Since 2014, Erik Molin has been an external lecturer in industrial economics at Copenhagen Business School and serves as a court-appointed expert.
