Gorrissen Federspiel’s energy team has assisted Nordic Solar with its milestone battery storage project (BESS) in Borup, Denmark.
Marking Nordic Solar’s first investment into a large portfolio of battery storage projects, the battery in Borup will with its capacity of 10 MWh be one of the larger batteries in Denmark when it enters operation, expectedly in Q1 2025.
The project is being developed in cooperation with the local municipality in Hillerød and Hybrid Greentech – Energy Storage Intelligence.
Gorrissen Federspiel has assisted Nordic Solar in connection with the project development, permitting and the cooperation with Hybrid Greentech for the construction and operation of the battery, as part of their broader strategy to deploy battery storage solutions throughout Europe.
