Gasum completes acquisition of all shares in Hærup Biogas ApS.
Hærup Biogas ApS owns and operates a biogas plant in the northern part of mainland Denmark. Gasum plans to invest in a gas upgrading unit and a gas grid connection for the plant to fully utilize the existing production capacity.
The acquisition is part of Gasum’s strategic goal to supply seven terawatt hours (7 TWh) of renewable gas to the Nordic market per year by 2027. Achieving this goal would mean a total emission reduction of 1.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year for Gasum’s customers.
Gorrissen Federspiel acted as legal advisor to Gasum on the transaction.
Gorrissen Federspiel’s transaction team was led by partner Michael Meyer, managing counsel Claus Jespersen and attorney Søren Nielsen.
