The energy and fiber network group Andel has entered into an agreement with NK-Forsyning – Næstved Municipality’s utility company – regarding Andel’s acquisition of NKE-Elnet A/S.
NKE-Elnet owns and operates the electricity grid in Næstved, covering approximately 18,000 grid customers.
Gorrissen Federspiel has assisted Andel throughout the entire transaction process.
The transaction is part of the consolidation of the electricity grid in Eastern Denmark – a process Andel has contributed to, including the acquisition of Radius Elnet, the grid in Hillerød, and the grid in Nakskov, with legal support from Gorrissen Federspiel. As a result, Andel’s grid companies are now responsible for transporting more than 40% of the electricity in Denmark.
The Gorrissen Federspiel team advising on the matter consisted of Partner Michael Meyer, Energy Counsel Hans Nikolaj Amsinck Boie, and Assistant Attorney Magnus Søndergaard-Pedersen.
The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
