Gorrissen Federspiel has advised Polaris in connection with its partnership with TEFCOLD, through which Polaris becomes the majority shareholder in the company.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Viborg, Denmark, TEFCOLD is a leading European provider of commercial plug-in refrigeration solutions for the foodservice, hospitality, retail and beverage sectors. The company has developed into a pan-European platform with operations in 11 countries and more than 8,000 customers.
The partnership is intended to support TEFCOLD’s continued growth and further consolidation of the European market. Founder Torben Christensen and family will retain a significant ownership stake, while management will co-invest.
Gorrissen Federspiel advised Polaris on the transaction, including transaction documentation, process management and due diligence, with coordination across relevant jurisdictions.
