Ole Horsfeldt started out as a general commercial lawyer, but over the past 25 years he has become an outsourcing lawyer specialised in companies' outsourcing of IT requirements, business processes, and facility services. Today, Ole heads up Gorrissen Federspiel's Digital Business practice. The team are among the most highly specialised outsourcing advisers on a global scale.
Oles' advice typically involves agreements with a regional or global reach and covers more than just "the agreement" or the legal terms. His mission statement is to make outsourcing successful for buyers of services. Ole is well-known for managing complex outsourcing transactions through combining legal, compliance, operational, and strategic perspectives.
To Ole, client enablement is paramount. Therefore, his advice is designed to support clients in managing and reaping expected benefits from outsourcing. Ole has been the architect behind concepts such as proactive remedies, co-operation agreements, the "deliver first, settle later" principle, and fast track dispute resolution, which have contributed to setting the standard for modern outsourcing in the Nordic countries. In all of Ole's work, the element of continuous improvement plays an important role. A result of this is the development of a Contract Management method, “Omnicent” designed for managing long-term and complex sourcing agreements.
