Lea Kolmos Weis advises our clients on litigation, shipping and offshore matters. Lea has extensive experience in litigation and international arbitration, including in particular within maritime and transport law, offshore and energy.
Lea has, in particular, handled large and complex cases and therefore has solid experience in case management and the effective organisation of legal proceedings. Her experience covers, amongst other things, the carriage of goods, cover under insurance contracts, P&I and regulatory matters.
In addition, Lea has unique expertise in public international law and the law of the sea, as well as in advising states and international institutions, including from her work at the UN agency, the International Seabed Authority, as Senior Legal Officer, where she was responsible for regulatory matters and the negotiation of the multilateral agreement on the extraction of minerals from the seabed.
Lea became a certified mediator in 2017 and is a former associate professor in civil procedure at the University of Copenhagen.
