Lars Grøngaard

Lars Grøngaard has priviously acted as trustee in a large number of bankruptcy estates and he has also been the administrator in several reconstruction cases. Lars has also worked as an authorized executor in the period 1997 - 2020 but now works primarily with the transfer of estates.

Lars focuses on ownership transition of assets and companies during the transferor's lifetime and upon his/her death. As a licensed administrator at the Court in Aarhus, Lars assists with the administration of estates of deceased persons. He has experience administering large and complex estates, including estates with assets abroad and estates with difficult issues in terms of tax law.

For more than 20 years, Lars has taught ownership transition and estate tax for the Danish Bar and Law Society and the Association of Danish Law firms.

Significant cases
Lars acts as trustee in the bankruptcy estate of ebh-fonden. The foundation was the majority shareholder in ebh-bank which failed during the finance crisis. In the administration of very complex bankruptcy estates, Lars has sold assets in the form of real property, companies, shopping centres and financial assets in Denmark, Germany and Poland.
