Erik Kjær-Hansen focuses on competition and regulatory litigation and investigations. He primarily assists Danish and international companies with factually and legally complex cases that raise questions of principle or are otherwise significant to the parties involved.
As head of Gorrissen Federspiel's EU & Competition law practice group, Erik Kjær-Hansen assists with cases within competition law, procurement law, state aid law and other regulatory matters. He is recognised in international legal directories as a leading expert in competition law, and he is a member of the board of the Danish Competition Law Society.
Erik has extensive litigation experience, including in cases before the Danish Supreme Court, and has been involved in most Danish landmark competition litigation cases in recent years. Earlier in his career, he held a temporary position as a judge at the Danish Eastern High Court.
Erik has extensive experience with cases before public authorities and with external legal investigations. He also acts as an arbitrator.
Within his areas of specialisation, Erik is active as a lecturer and legal author. He also holds a master's degree from Harvard Law School.
