Attorney
Christian Malmkjær Pedersen primarily focuses on bankruptcy estate administration in cooperation with the partners in the insolvency group who are appointed trustees by the probate courts. This work involves many different tasks, including, among other things, M&A transactions involving bankrupt companies, realisation of assets, examination of voidable transactions as well as conducting legal proceedings concerning avoidance and disqualification.
Christian also works with reconstruction and advising clients on insolvency law issues.
Significant cases
Christian work closely with the Danish tax authorities as they often request partners from our insolvency group when they file for bankruptcy against debtors. He also advises major Danish banks and companies on insolvent clients.
Christian was involved in the bankruptcy estates that followed in the wake of OW Bunkers' bankruptcy where partner John Sommer Schmidt from our insolvency group acted as trustee. In addition, he has worked with the bankruptcy estates of a number of large Danish property development groups.
