The agreement involves an exchange of knowledge and ensures strengthened advice to the law firms’ respective clients in matters related to the Arctic and Greenland.
Gorrissen Federspiel’s international relations increasingly require advice concerning issues relating to Greenland and the Arctic region. In view of this development, it is natural to enter into a strategic cooperation with Arctic Law, explains Managing Partner of Gorrissen Federspiel, Martin André Dittmer.

The agreement is intended to enable legal matters and proceedings related to Greenland to be solved jointly, where this is natural. This may include advising clients in relation to corporate transactions, resource extraction, energy, infrastructure, major construction projects, offshore and transport.
“There is no doubt that the geopolitical focus on Greenland in recent years opens up some opportunities that we in Arctic Law would like to seize. With this cooperation agreement, we strengthen our advisory potential both locally and internationally. This is obviously of value to both current and future clients,” says Britta Keldsen, attorney and owner of Arctic Law.
The strategic cooperation with Gorrissen Federspiel will also contribute to strengthening Arctic Law’s commercial law profile. As part of the agreement, Gorrissen Federspiel partner Michael Meyer will therefore join Arctic Law’s newly formed advisory board.
