Taxes Committee Retreat
The Taxes Committee of the IBA, Gorrissen Federspiel and Bjørnholm Law are pleased to extend a most cordial welcome on the occasion of your visit to Copenhagen in connection with the IBA Annual Meeting.
It is our sincere pleasure to organize a retreat offering the opportunity to reflect on the Taxes Committee’s activities and plans as well as to experience both the vibrant character of Copenhagen and the unique cultural and natural heritage of North Zealand. We trust that this visit will not only complement the professional purpose of your attendance, but also provide a memorable insight into Denmark’s traditions, innovation, and way of life.

Thursday 1 October
All day: Arrivals at hotel (25Hours Hotel Paper Island)

Friday 2 October

8:30 am: Business meeting Tax Committee at the hotel

1:45 pm: Canal tour of Copenhagen
3:00 pm: Social activities
Choose between guided walking tour of Freetown Christiania or leisurely bike tour of Copenhagen
6:00 pm: Meet in lobby and metro to restaurant
6:30 pm: Drinks and talk by Claus Meyer
Claus Meyer, founder of Noma, will share insights into the philosophy of Noma, its impact on Nordic cuisine and the evolution of the culinary scene in Denmark.
7:30 pm: Dinner at Brasserie Post

Saturday 3 October
From 07:00 am: Breakfast at hotel restaurant
07:00 am: Optional harbour run with optional ocean dip
10:00 am: Transport from hotel to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
11:00 am: Explore the museum with audio guides on your own
12:15 pm: Transport from Louisiana Museum of Modern Art to Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen
12:30 pm: Lunch at Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen
2:30 pm: Transport to Frederiksborg Castle
3:00 pm: Guided tour at Castle Gardens
4:00 pm: Transport back to hotel
6:00 pm: Meet in lobby and bus transport to Tivoli Gardens
7:00 pm: Galla dinner at Restaurant Glassalen Tivoli
11:00 pm – 01:00 am: Shuttle bus back to hotel
Sunday 4 October
From 07:00 am: Breakfast at hotel restaurant
12:00 am: Room check-out time

Registration of interest
Registration
To register your interest to participate in the retreat, we kindly ask you to use the form below.
We will ask you to confirm your attendance at a later stage, at which point your registration will become binding.
The deadline is 20 May 2026.
Payment
We expect that the final cost for each participant will be in the range of USD$2300-2500, in line with past retreats.
Accompanying persons (eg, significant others) are also very much welcome to attend.
Payments will be handled by Gorrissen Federspiel, and you will receive a link to access the payment module after the registration deadline. The link will be sent directly to the email address provided in your registration.
You will be able to pay by credit card or bank transfer.
