Securing the European House: Joint lessons from Ukraine
Think Tank Europa invites you to a discussion about the security dilemmas Europe is facing and how Ukraine’s experiences are affecting these.
Amidst rising unpredictability, Europeans are confronted by a challenge of keeping safe with potentially less America in the face of the need to deter a more aggressive Russia. What are the security problems Europeans need to address and how does Ukraine’s experience fit into our way forward? How can we rethink our actions, defence capabilities, industrial base and defence integration for a future in which a U.S. security umbrella is no longer a given?
We would be delighted if you joined us for a breakfast discussion to take a closer look at these questions. We will also discuss the state of Russia’s war in Ukraine, battlefield and internal developments and implications for European security.
We will be joined by:
- Dmytro Kuleba, former Foreign Minister of Ukraine and ECFR Distinguished Policy Fellow
- Rob Lee, a leading military expert and ECFR associate fellow
- Jana Kobzova, Co-Director of ECFR’s European Security Programme.
The discussion will be moderated by Lykke Friis, Director of Think Tank Europa and Co-Chair of ECFR’s Council.
