Beyond Compliance: Why Culture Matters

A breakfast discussion with Camilla C. Collet, Michaela Ahlberg and Niina Ratsula

Most organizations have policies, controls, and compliance programs designed to prevent misconduct. Yet ethical failures, corruption cases, and conduct risks continue to emerge across industries.

Why?

Perhaps the challenge is not a lack of rules, but a deeper understanding of how people make decisions, how culture shapes behaviour, and how organizations can build trust in an increasingly complex world.

Join us for an interactive breakfast discussion where legal, ethics & compliance, risk, HR, and business leaders come together to explore the growing importance of culture in managing risk, strengthening integrity, and supporting responsible business conduct.

Discussion themes

  • Why good people make bad choices: what behavioural science teaches us about misconduct and ethical decision-making
  • Beyond compliance: why regulators, boards, and business leaders are increasingly focused on culture, incentives, and leadership
  • AI, ethics, and accountability: how emerging technologies are reshaping organizational culture and compliance
  • Building trust and speak-up cultures: practical ways to strengthen ethical culture and responsible leadership
