About Nordic Defence Day
The law firms Gorrissen Federspiel (Denmark), Roschier (Sweden & Finland) and Thommessen (Norway) have joined forces to establish an annual event, hosted on a rotating basis across the four Nordic countries. Once a year, key industry stakeholders are brought together for a full day dedicated to dialogue and exchange on collaboration and developments within the defence industry.
Drawing on the firms’ combined Nordic and international network, the initiative creates a unique platform for dialogue among companies, authorities, and other industry actors. Focus is on the defence industry’s key challenges, such as regulatory and financial, and opportunities, such as collaboration and innovation. At the same time, we will look at expected future developments in a rapidly evolving market.
This year’s conference will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the offices of Gorrissen Federspiel.
Nordic Defence Day 2026
Building Nordic resilience, securing supply chains, and strengthening collective defence preparedness is at the forefront of the political agenda as well as within the Nordic defence industry. Nordic Defence Day 2026 convenes defence leaders, decision-makers, industry stakeholders, consultancies, and research institutions for a focused day of strategic dialogue on strengthening Nordic cooperation and the European pillar within NATO.
Through keynotes and panel discussions, the event will among others address:
- Opportunities and barriers in Nordic cross-border collaboration
- The integration of emerging technologies into established defence capabilities
- The financing of long-term defence industrial readiness
The day closes with a reflection on what it takes for the Nordics and Europe to remain resilient in a fragmented world.
