Managing Counsel
Claus Jespersen advises Danish and foreign banks and companies on loan financing of companies, provision of security and enforcement in relation to lending, project financing and reorganisation of possibly distressed financing projects.
Claus assists Danish and German-speaking clients in M&A transactions, including, among other things, in the form of contract negotiations and drafting contracts, and litigation and particularly in relation to conveyancing and the acquisition and sale of wind turbines in Germany.
He teaches subjects of current interest, particularly within finance law, to clients and others, usually involving individually customized client courses, but he has also taught colleagues from other law firms for JUC.
Finally, Claus is a head mentor and therefore has a special responsibility for the training of our assistant attorneys.
Significant cases
Claus has assisted one of Denmark's largest banks with the development of a concept for the financing of wind turbine projects. He also regularly assists Danish and German banks with the sale of distressed real property projects in Germany.
He has assisted the creditors with the winding up of the Ebh-fonden, the Green Wind Energy group and the Scan Energy group, particularly the German activities, consisting of shopping centres (the foundation) and wind farms.
